GoCorp เช็คสล็อตแตก Closes AusVegas

Australian public company GoCorp officially closed the doors of its AusVegas Internet casino yesterday, one week after the Australian Government passed a retroactive Net gambling moratorium.

“It is our belief that the Moratorium Bill has been enacted and it would be unwise for us to continue to operate,” said John Auld, General Manager of Gaming & Customer Service at AusVegas.

Auld gives his assurance that players’ accounts will be fairly settled. “I sincerely thank all our players who have visited and played AusVegas since we opened. They certainly are great people and I would like to reiterate that AusVegas will refund all players who have cash in their player’s purse and are entitled to a refund. AusVegas will be in contact with all our players over the next few days.”

Unfortunately, the Australian Federal Government’s retrospective bill, the Interactive Gambling (Moratorium) Bill 2000 has been enacted. Based on legal advice, the Directors of GOCORP (GOCORP is the public company that operates AusVegas Casino) have formed a view that the Bill is so broad in its interpretation, that key aspects of our Casino business will be directly impacted.

It would therefore be unwise for AusVegas Casino to continue to operate in its current form given the risks associated with any breach of this legislation. The company is currently exploring other options and it is our intention to keep you, our valued customer, informed on what eventuates as soon as possible.

If you currently have a cash player account with AusVegas Casino, we will be closing your cash account and refunding your purse balance (if applicable) over the next few days. The refunds will be processed using your designated withdrawal method and personal details, which you have provided AusVegas Casino upon registration.
